The dial is clearly laid out with no mess, the date is set between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions, and the quarter-hour makers and hands are coated with Elliot Browns' own Superluminova film to ensure long-lasting visibility in low/no light conditions.
The slightly domed glass is a 2.8mm thick curved tempered mineral crystal, with an anti-reflective coating on the underside. The glass is attached to a precision machined 316L Marine grade stainless-steel case with dual crowns and an screw-down case-back.
The inner protection of the watch includes a triple gasket waterproofing for each crown to ensure the water resistance whether the crown is open or closed. The case-back features 2 separate gaskets for waterproofing, plus the case-back itself is bolted down into the case. The mechanism is held to the dial with a four-post design, minimising the risk of damage should the watch suffer severe shock.
